A Rich History

Elephant Refinery is essentially the continuation of the refining activities of Elephant Dental. This company, founded in the 1970s in Hoorn (NH), became part of Dentsply Sirona, the largest dental company in the world, after several acquisitions. As gold and silver were being used less in the dental industry, Dentsply Sirona no longer considered working with precious metals a core activity, but Elephant Dental still met a significant need in the Benelux for the recycling and refining of precious metals. This task has now been taken over by Elephant Refinery.
